Coursework
1. Debate: Violence in Sport is Unnecessary: for this project a group of four students including myself were assigned the bolded topic to debate against another group. In preparation for this 45-minute debate both groups were required to conduct credible research that justified our points along with finding answers for potential rebuttals from the other group.

2. Observation Paper: In this project I worked with Bryan Johnson to conduct thorough research regarding the comparison of both men and women’s collegiate athletics. Observations were made at both men’s and women’s soccer games during Labor Day weekend at SRU. The focus was more than just the game itself; also taken to consideration was the sociological perspective and surrounding atmosphere.

3. Scrapbook: This assignment required that I collect articles from newspapers, magazines, and or from the Internet that relate to the chapters discussed in our book, Sports in Society: Issues and Controversies by Jay Coakley. The final project included 11 reflections on each article with creative designs and appealing images.
